CAIRO - 27 July 2017: Libyan assistant Referee, Khaled Abo el-Khir, is excluded from Arab Club Championship remaining matches after his mistakes, the referees committee of the Arab Football Federation statement said.

Khaled Abo El-Khir cancelled Iraqi side, Naft El-Wasat valid goal against Tunisian side, Esperence which led Esperence to win the match 1-0.
“These decisions were a result to many mistakes in the first round that caused opposition from teams participating in the competitions,” Arab Football Federation statement said.

The referees committee of the Arab Football Federation also decided to exclude Bahraini assistant Nawaf Shaheen and the Yemeni assistant Adel Hosny.

Nawaf Shaheen cancelled Karim Nedved valid goal against Al-Faisaly from Jordan, Al-Ahly lost the match 1-0, while Hosny did not give a penalty to Moroccan side Fatih Union against Zamalek in their first match in the group ended 2-2.

Egypt hosts 12 Arab teams in Arab Club Championship in Cairo and Alexandria from July 22 to August 5.
