CAIRO – 24 July 2017 The Egyptian National Team’s swimmer Marwan el-Kamash managed to qualify on July 24 to the semi-finals of the FINA Swimming World Cup.

Kamash qualified to the semi-finals after beating the Austrian champion Felix Azbek in the decisive match that determines who qualifies to the semi-finals. Kamash managed to qualify after finishing the 200 meters free race in 1 minute, 47 seconds, and 40 part of a second.

The match was played after both players were ranked in the 16th position in the overall standings.

Kamash previously came in the ninth place in the overall ranking for the 400 meters free race after finishing the race in 3 minutes 46 seconds and 36 part of a second.
The 2017 FINA Swimming World Cup is held in Budapest Hungry from July 14 to 30.
