CAIRO - 22 July 2017: The Swedish club Falkenbergs has signed Amir Adel. Adel played 13 league matches in six months with Viborg FF in Denmark before moving to Sweden. Amir Adel is a Danish born Egyptian player who had a football journey inside several Scandinavian countries. He represented Denmark on youth teams, but he decided in the end to represent Egypt. Alexander Jakobsen, better known as Amir Adel, Egyptian attacking midfielder, signed a 3 year contract with Swedish Club IFK Norrköping. He played for only six months with Danish side, Viborg FF.

“I know IFK is a big club and I cannot wait until I get into the group. I'm happy to be here, I grow everyday and I learn to do some things in some situations. I like to work hard to get better,” Amir told the club website after signing his contract.

Amir Adel is 23-years-old and knows the Swedish League very because he played in the Swedish League previously. He also won 2013 African U 20 Championship with Egypt. He played only one game for Egypt’s first team.

IFK Norrköping is one of the oldest clubs in Sweden. It was established in 1897, and they compete in the Swedish League first division. IFK Norrköping won the League 13 times. 2015 was their last win; however they also won five Swedish Cups. IFK Norrköping is in the third position in the Swedish League. They are just 8 points away from the lead club Malmothe.
