CAIRO – 20 July 2017: Juventus announced on Wednesday the signing of Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny on a four-year contract for $14 million from Arsenal.

"I'm ready to take on this challenge. Juventus is the best possible choice for my career," Szczesny told reporters in his presentation press conference.

Szczesny talked about his ambitions with Juventus, saying, “I'm 27 years old and I want to win. At this club, there's the right mentality to do so. I hope that we'll succeed in winning the Champions League.”

Szczesny talked about his position in the club and the competition with current Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. He said, "I understand Buffon's role and I respect that. I'm here to learn and to grow. It's the coach's decision, but I am available. I've never felt any pressure in my life. I want to represent this club by defending the goal as well as possible.”
Szczesny, 27 years old, started his football career in Legia Warsaw, and then he moved to England to play for Arsenal, before joining Roma on a two-year loan.
