CAIRO – 17 July 2017: With interest in Mixed Marshall Arts (MMA) rising in Egypt, Fitbox has decided to host an event called Thunder Night on Tuesday at the Katameya Hills Resort from 7 p.m. till 11 p.m.
Fitbox, Egypt’s first boxing gym, has organized a night full of MMA matches to pick out the best fighters in the country.
As publicized on their official Facebook page, the following matches will take place:
Andreas ‘King Cheetah’ Valavanis vs. Omari ‘Bongo Boy’ Ramadan will play for the World Boxing Federation (WBF) All-African Middleweight title.
Ayman ’Stone’ Ashour and Waleed ‘Magic’ Twafik will be battling for the WBF All-African Middleweight title.
Going head to head for the Eurasia Pacific Boxing Association (EPBA) National Welterweight title, Abdumonem ‘Brave Heart’ Said and Ibrahim Kandeel will meet in the ring.
Youssef ‘Shadow’ Shady Islam Tantawy will meet in a match for the EPBA National Light Heavyweight title.
The EPBA National Super Lightweight Title match will see Mohamed Bedeer vs. Khaled Mostafa.
The champion of the WBF Super Welterweight bout will be found in the Yahia Zakaria vs. Amro Elsawahly match. Ahmoud vs. Ragy Hussam, will go head to head for the crown of the Pyramid Cup!
Tuesday night will be the beginning of the journey of these young champions.
