CAIRO –17 July 2017:Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won for the fourth consecutive time on Sunday in his homeland by finishing first in the British Grand Prix, the 10th stage of the Formula One World Championship, in front of his teammate Valtteri Bottas.

The British driver led the race from start to finish without problems and took control of the race alongside his Mercedes teammate, Bottas, who occupied the second place of the race behind Hamilton by 14 seconds to make Mercedes take the first two places of the British circuit Silverstone.

Hamilton climbed the podium in Silverstone in 2008, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Mercedes also dominated the British GP in the last five years, as retired German driver Nico Rosberg had already won the title in 2013.

The British driver won his 57th victory in Formula One, narrowing the gap with German Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel, who is in first place of the Formula One World Championship for this season, to one point, after the German driver came in seventh place in Silverstone.
