CAIRO – 15 July2017: Zlatan Ibrahimović, 35-year-old forward recovering from a serious knee injury sustained in April, is currently a free agent, not bound to any team as he recovers on the training grounds of Manchester United.

According to The Sun, Ibrahimović has received and refused two offers, one from Galaxy and the other from Los Angeles FC in favor of staying with Manchester United. Ibrahimović continues to be resolute in his decision not to leave Europe, despite Galaxy assuring him that he will be the highest paid player in their club's history, receiving €6 million a year.

In a press conference held earlier this week, Ibrahimović declared that he's going to make a big announcement regarding his future soon, but he did not give further details.

Curt Onalfo, head coach for Galaxy, had no comment when asked about the deal and his club's interest in Ibrahimović. He did, however, state the following, "The DNA of Galaxy is to attract world-class players, so we are always looking for one."

On the other side of this story, Los Angeles FC, which will soon start its first MLS season in 2018, wishes to have a star added to their numbers before signing a coach to the team.
