CAIRO – 6 July 2017: Ahmed Shobeir, former Al-Ahly goalkeeper and current TV news presenter, posted on July 5 the insights about Hossam el-Badry’s conflict with Al-Ahly midfielder Hossam Ghaly.

Ghaly and Badry had a heated conversation on July 4 during the half-time of the Al-Ahly and Al-Masry SC match that ended in a 1-1 draw.

Shobeir posted on his official Facebook page the full transcript of the conversation between Ghaly and Badry.

Citing Shobeir’s Facebook page, Badry criticized Al-Ahly’s team captain Ghaly about the team’s performance in the first half against Al-Masry. Ghaly responded to Badry saying, “there are some players who play very slow with the ball, and that heavily impacts the team’s performance.”

Badry replied Ghaly’s claim by saying, “You are the reason behind the team’s slow performance.” This comment annoyed Ghaly, prompting Badry to tell Ahmed Ramadan ‘Beckham’ to warm up in order to participate in the second half.”

Reporting from Shobeir’s page, Ghaly left alone immediately and did not wait till the end of the match.

The relationship between Ghaly and Badry is becoming worse every day, with the coach deciding to constantly sub the Al-Ahly captain.
