Jinn with a group of Arab teenagers
Amsterdam, Monday 8 April: Today, the first look images from behind the scenes of Jinn escaped, giving fans a look at the havoc that’s to come. Jinn is the first Middle East Original drama series on the streaming platform and will be told across five 30 - 45 minute long episodes which will arrive on the service in summer 2019.
Set in modern Amman and ancient Petra, Jinn follows a group of Arab teenagers as their friendships and budding romances are tested when they unknowingly invite the supernatural forces of jinn into their world. As the lines between good and evil blur, can the friends find the answers needed in order to save everything?
The primary cast includes Salma Malhas, HamzehOkab, Sultan Alkhail and AyshaShahaltough. Joining the headlines, supporting cast including Ban Halaweh, Yaser Al Hadi, Zaid Al Zoubi, KaramTabaa’, Mohammed Nizar, AbdelrazaqJarkas, Mohammad Hindieh and Hana Chamoun.
Created by Mir-Jean Bou Chaaya, Rajeev Dassani, Elan Dassani. Produced by Kabreet Productions, this young adult drama is directed and executive produced by Mir-Jean Bou Chaaya (Very Big Shot) and executive produced by Elan and Rajeev Dassani (SEAM), who also served as writers. Jordanian local, Amin Matalqa (Sundance Award Winner, Captain Abu Raed) also directed and contributed to the writing.
