CAIRO – 3 January 2018: We are in the midst of a cold winter and the weather is starting to affect our skin. With the change of weather, comes the change in the skincare routine. There are five tips, according to WebMD, which we all should follow and have been following for years now every time winter comes. As long as you follow these five easy tips your skin should remain healthy in 2018.

1. WARM WATER

When washing your face and hands (and you should do this more often in winter), use warmish water to lock in moisture and keep them smooth.

2. MOISTURIZE, moisturize, moisturize…

All day, every day moisturize, moisturize, moisturize… do this several times during the day to stay soft and to avoid dry and ashy winter skin.

Pro tip: Use natural made products that are high in hydrating organic ingredients with only natural fragrances. Make sure that it goes with your skin type; we all have different skin. Just because one product may work for your friend, does not mean that it will work for you.

Also, keep moisture in the air by bringing out the humidifier when the heating systems are on, as they tend to dry out the air, which results in dry skin.

3. GLOVES for shelter

Keep the gloves on throughout this whole season, day and night all day, every day. During the day, use them to protect hands against the bitter, cold weather. At night, put on the gloves to get the best results from your moisturizer.

Pro tip: Use sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays and sunburns. It is not just a summertime thing.

4. EXFOLIATE

But do not overdo it since it can also dehydrate the skin, which can result in the exact opposite of what you want.

5. Stay HYDRATED

Drink as much water as you can throughout the day, while also eating food high in Omega 3 and water-based fruits.
