CAIRO – 17 December 2017: Mila Jovovich supermodel, actress, fashion designer and singer was born on Dec. 17, 1975 in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. Yet she managed to get on the cover of more than 100 magazines.

While her dad was living in London he worked as a bartender, which was Jovovich and her mother’s way out of Soviet Union Ukraine. They would travel to London to visit her father and then as a family they moved to America in the 70’s.

As a young girl growing up, her mother taught her the essential acting skills she needed, alongside which she studied ballet and singing. At the age of 15 she wrote her first album. "The Divine Comedy" was released in 1994 and she continues to write songs and sing while releasing them for free through her website. Jovovich has been featured on many movie soundtracks.

At the age of 11 she was scouted by world renowned photographer Richard Avedon and went on to be featured in Revlon cosmetics ad campaigns. Only then to be featured on over 100 international magazine covers, yet she is mainly known for her role in “The Fifth Element” (1997) and “Resident Evil” (2002). She became the highest paid model in the world in 2004 earning $10.4 million.

Staying true to her love for fashion, Jovovich joined forces with her business partner and friend Carmen Hawk and they launched the Jovovich-Hawk fashion label, which was featured on American Vogue’s "10 Things to Watch Out for in 2005."

Jovovich has two children with her husband Paul W. S. Anderson, the British writer and director of the “Resident Evil” action/thriller saga.
