CAIRO – 23 October 2017: “I think you have to let go of this idea that you can be precious about everything, and let it be the abstract mess that it is,” Ryan Reynolds.
Ryan Rodney Reynolds, also know now as Deadpool, was born on October 23, 1976.

The Canadian-born actor’s career started in 1990 when he starred in the Nickleodeon show “Fifteen,” he later acted in several shows until he came into the spotlight after his role in the hit “Van Wilder.”

Reynolds has played several comic-book roles, one of which was “Blade: Trinity 2004.” His role in ”X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2009” would then continue into the Deadpool saga. The only DC Comics role he had was his portrayal of Hal Jordan (Green Lantern), he later mentioned in interviews that the film's failure, critically and financially, came as a huge relief because he did not want to play Hal Jordan once again.

He found a comic where “Deadpool” describes himself as looking like "Ryan Reynolds crossed with a Shar-Pei" and then, Reynolds instantly fell in love with the character.

Another quote for the road:
“I think you have to let go of this idea that you can be precious about everything, and let it be the abstract mess that it is.”
