Cairo – 13 September 2017: “Life's short. Anything could happen, and it usually does, so there is no point in sitting around thinking about all the ifs and buts.” Amy Winehouse
Amy Jade Winehouse was born on September 14, 1983 and tragically died on July 23, 2011 due to alcohol poisoning.

The English singer and songwriter was known for her deep and expressive vocals. She is renowned for mixing genres in her own unique way, with the output being a combination of a little soul, blues, and jazz.

Winehouse's debut album, “Frank” (2003), was a success in the UK and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her follow-up album, “Back to Black” (2006), led her to win five 2008 Grammy Awards, making her the first British woman to accomplish such an achievement. She was awarded three of the General Field "Big Four" Grammy Awards:

Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Another quote for the road:
“Every bad situation is a blues song waiting to happen.”
