CAIRO – 31 August 2017: “I think change needs to be egoless. It's not about my leaving my fingerprints or a legacy. It's more important to be part of a process by rolling up your sleeves, being on the ground, initiating projects, starting campaigns - you know, building stuff.” - Queen Rania of Jordon.

The Queen of Jordan was born on August 31, 1970, in Kuwait City. She has two siblings, Dina and Magdi. She graduated from the American University in Cairo with a business degree in 1991. During the first Gulf War, her family fled from Kuwait to Jordan. She became the queen of Jordon after her husband became the king in 1999.

Fun Fact:
Queen Rania is one of the fashion icons in the Middle East and the world.

Another Quote for the Road:
“People sometimes think of 'queen' as a title that's shrouded with protocol and formality, and for that reason sometimes people are not easily saying what they want to say. They're reluctant to express their opinions, and I kind of find that frustrating because I want to know what people really, really think.”
