CAIRO – 17 August 2017: It is so easy to lose energy and feel tired by midday, especially during these hot summer days. The first thing that always comes to mind is usually coffee, which is sadly not the right choice. Despite the many advantages of coffee, it is not considered an effective energy booster. According to Fortune Magazine, coffee usually gives a temporary boost that soon fades, leaving you more tired than before.

We bring you five snacks that, according to Fitness Magazine’s website, are considered natural energy boosters:

1- Bananas: They are full of minerals and vitamins and should be the first thing to come to your mind whenever you need a little energy boost.

2- Oranges: As they contain a large amount of vitamin C, oranges are your little natural helpers that come in handy, especially in winter to protect you against the cold weather.

3- Vegetables: They are quite rich in nutrients and protein. They can also serve as a satisfying snack and maybe try adding a little bit of hummus to them as a treat.

4- Nuts: They are rich in beneficial fats and vitamins, especially almonds.

5- Popcorn: This favorite snack is low on calories, high on fibers, and will make you feel full; need we say more?! You can eat a whole bag of low-fat popcorn without needing to over think.
