Hammam was discovered in Amsterdam in 2010 by an agent from CODE management in Central Station and went on from there to win the model of the year award in 2014.

She walked runways for some of the biggest names in the fashion such as: Vera Wang, Versace, Hugo Boss and Prada, and has been the cover girl for Allure, Porter, and many covers of Vogue (French, Italian, American and Arabic).

She is also a symbol of encouragement to young girls all around the world, which can be seen in her statement for Allure Magazine in their diversity issue โ€œIโ€™m half Moroccan, half Egyptian, and I was born in Amsterdam. Iโ€™m Muslim, and Iโ€™m super proud of my heritage and of my roots.

I want to be a role model for young girls who are struggling with racism or struggling with their looks or with their skin color. I had Naomi Campbell, who I looked up to as a black powerful woman. But there arenโ€™t many Arabic models, and being an African-Arabic model, Iโ€™m trying to open doors for more Arabic girls.โ€

And she also loves motivating people through her Instagram account.
