Cairo – 20 July 2017: Elisabetta Franchi the Italian native fashion designer best known for love for animals and cruelty free wearable works of art, has gone for a whole new photography concept and partnering up with photographer and director Ellen Von Unwerth for the FW17-18 season.

Unwerth’s unmistakable personality, made her one of the most sought-after fashion photographers in the world, was decisive in encompassing in every shot the thousand facets of a spontaneous and elegant femininity, the core essence of the new collection.

The advertising campaign takes fashion lovers back to Paris in the 1940s. A “femme fatale” in a pinstripe suit and (faux) fur walks through the streets of the capital, and, crossing the threshold of a bistro, finds herself in a surreal déjà vu with a retro flavor.

Inside the bistro it all comes to life: she meets a friend, and through their laughter, secrets and irreverent dancing they seem to rediscover the magic of "joie de vivre." She finally gets the chance to declare her independence, to live life to the max with no limits or boundaries, to show off to the world who she is and to make her niche in a society that is being ruled by men.

The dualism of dream and reality is reflected in the contrasting of color and black and white, in the mixing and matching of masculine and ultra-feminine lines. Suits, pinstripes and baggy trousers are expertly mixed with the elegance of dresses featuring bright embroideries, oriental patterns and alluring necklines.

The campaign's protagonist is the beautiful Emily di Donato with her magnetic smile who embodies the idea of sophisticated and sensual woman perfectly rendered by Ellen Von Unwerth's mastery. Faida Aasen is the perfect sidekick in this fairytale, the blue eyed Norwegian dream girl is fun, playful and captivating Ellen Von Unwerth found the perfect way to represent two powerful women equally.
