Nilometer kayak adventure

CAIRO – 12 July 2017: Weekend outings have by now become routine, it’s either going out for lunch with your friends or sitting at the same old café. The Nile Kayak Club (NKC) is offering you and your friends the chance to rediscover the Nile right from the center of it all.

The Nilometer Ride will be held this Friday at the NKC Royal Mohamed-Aly Club branch. Check-in and orientation will begin at 5 p.m. followed by an hour and a half of pure blissful kayaking through the Nile as a getaway from the city. Kayakers will tour the Nile River from Maadi to the Om Kathoum Museum in a seven kilometer ride.

The adventure is for those that have a medium fitness level and have kayaked before. Children over fourteen years old are welcome and you can even bring your pet on the adventure (they will be provided with a life jacket).

NKC began when three passionate kayakers decided to explore Aswan and Luxor through the Nile on an adventure that took place back in 2016. They then turned that passion into a business and created the first long distance kayak club in Egypt.
