“We Wear it Culture” Google’s worldwide fashion collaboration

Cairo – 21 June 2017: On June 9 Google, fashion institutions, museums and schools around the world collaborated to build an archive of 3,000 years of fashion collections. The collaboration is entitled We Wear Culture, and viewers can immerse themselves in the digital platform in 360 degrees. People can look into the 450 virtual exhibitions offered on different fashion themes and topics.

The website also allows viewers to explore through a video format. There is an interactive video about every woman’s LBD (Little Black Dress). The little black dress is essential to today’s wardrobe . The video focuses on the history and color of a dress made by the world renowned fashion designer Coco Chanel. It also explains how that dress became the essential LBD.


Viewers can delve into the making of clothes through the pictures of cloth swatches in high definition. There is also a rundown of Audrey Hepburn’s wardrobe with visuals included. Coco Chanel, Salvatore Ferragamo, Balenciaga and many others can be studied in details.

The website does not only teach the history of fashion, it gives a peep into its future, and also helps you understand your own fashion sense.
