Papyrus workshop for children at Alexandria Fine Arts Museum

CAIRO – 18 June 2017: The Papyrus Production Workshop for Children was launched June 17 which will be held at the Alexandria Museum of Fine Arts.

The workshop for children aged 10 to 16, is designed to teach them papyrus making procedures. After attending the workshop the children will know about the papyrus industry and manufacturing methods from the ancient Egyptian times till present day.

The workshop is organized by Alexandria Museum of Fine Arts in cooperation with the Department of Cultural Development and Archaeology Awareness in Alexandria governorate, affiliated to the Ministry of Antiquities.

The papyrus production workshop is part of the free summer archaeological awareness workshops offered by the Department of Archaeological Awareness.
