CAIRO - 17 September 2019: In honor of late theatrical director Mohamed Abul Seoud, the Magdoub Design Studio in Zamalek will hold an exhibition of the paintings of two of his theatrical performances, "Afriqiyah Omi" and "Saba’".

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Sept 18 at 7 p.m. in the presence of a group of theatrical artists and fine artists. It will run for two weeks.

Abul Seoud is considered one of the iconic directors of the independent theater. The late director has presented numerous important theatrical performances at the Hanager Center for Arts since 1991, including “El-Emian”, “Breska 2”, “El-Ayam el-Khawali”, among others.

Abul Seoud won awards for many of his shows, including the best performance and best director award in the first free theater festival in Egypt in 1992.

Mohamed Abul Seoud was honored during the 26th edition of the Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theater.

He was also honored at the Sharm El-Sheikh Youth Theater Festival's latest edition held in March. Also, the competition for the Best Theatrical Narrative for Youth held his name.

Abul Seoud passed away at the age of 46 after a fierce battle with disease.
