CAIRO –11 June 2017: Cairo Opera House has been hosting Hal Helalak (Your Crescent Appeared) Ramadan tent for five days, witnessing a large attendance and a lively atmosphere of traditional songs.

The free entrance event has housed several talented singers presenting dazzling heritage songs, including the Egyptian Khaireya who sang Qolteen Ala el -Teraa (Two Pots on the Conduit), Ahmed Mohsen who performed Qamar Loh Layaly (The Moon’s Nights), and upper Egyptian star Fathy el-Hawary who presented Attar (herbalist) song.

The tent has been presenting National Arab Music ensemble traditional songs, like Al-Moseqa el-Tahmelya "Loading Music" of the late Suleiman Jamil, and heritage songs such as ‘’Morbaat Seedy’’ (Upper Egypt squares) by Adel Qenawy.

Most of the attendees were Egyptian families and their children.
