CAIRO - 23 June 2019: Lebanese singer Myriam Fares clarified the reason behind not performing any concerts in Egypt recently, stressing that it is due to her high payment.

Fares said on the sidelines of a press conference held at the Moroccan Mawazine Festival: “I performed several concerts in Egypt before the 2011 revolution. However, I have evolved artistically since then”.

“I will be frank. I artistically evolved and my demands grew higher, which makes me a little expensive for Egypt,” continued Fares.

As for her health, Fares said she had passed the difficult stage of her illness, affirming that she is currently in her “healing” process. “I am in a much better place right now; please pray for me always,” said Fares.
