CAIRO – 17 April 2019: Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal inaugurated Monday the largest VOX Cinema in the Middle East at the Kingdom Center in Riyadh.

“I want to congratulate the Kingdom's leadership, government and people on such a huge step,” Talal stated.

In a televised interview, Talal expressed his happiness with the strategic partnership between the Kingdom Holding Company in Saudi Arabia presided by him and Al-Futtaim Conglomerate Company in the United Arab Emirates that is set to result in a lot of accomplishments.

Talal further assured the significance of the efforts exerted to boost the film industry in Saudi Arabia, stressing that this step reflects the broad vision of Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

“We are grateful for Prince Salman's numerous achievements such as opening movie theaters across Saudi Arabia, allowing women to enter stadiums, and allowing women to drive cars," Talal said.

"A huge social revolution is taking place in Saudi Arabia. There is no doubt that a large number of Saudis no longer want to leave home. I say it clearly, Prince Salman took Saudi Arabia from the 12th century to the 21st century,” Talal stated.

Prince Salman launched an economic reform plan in 2016 entitled “A Vision for 2030”. The plan aims to diversify Saudi economic resources, making tourism and entertainment prominent pillars of the reform plan.
