Alexandria International Book Fair to kick off on March 25

CAIRO - 18 March 2019: Culture and arts enthusiasts are eager for the launch of Alexandria International Book Fair's 15th edition set to run from March 25 to April 7.

The Alexandria International Book Fair will host more than 50 local publishers. Four Arab countries will also participate in the event; those are Kuwait, UAE, Syria and Palestine.

The fair will host numerous distinguished departments related to government entities, including the Ministry of Antiquities, the National Mental Health Council and the National Center for Translation.

Moreover, the book fair will create a platform for different cultural activities suitable for the entire family.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina organizes several cultural festivals for literature enthusiasts, not only in Alexandria, but also in Egypt and the Middle East.

The book fair’s cultural program includes 14 workshops for children, including workshops for storytelling and writing. A special lecture will be given by former Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni during the festival’s seminar.
