CAIRO - 5 January 2018: Cairo Opera House in collaboration with the French Cultural Center will host the soloists of the Palais Garnier ( Paris Opera House) to present 4 concerts as part of Independence project that will be held in Cairo and Alexandria.

The French soloists will perform in these concerts with Cairo Opera Ballet Company under the supervision of its artistic director Erminia Kamel on January 8 and 11 on Cairo Opera House’s Main Hall and on January 9 and 10 on Alexandria Opera House.

The concerts will house worldwide acclaimed ballet shows such as Swan Lake, Don Quixote and Spartacus.

These ballet shows comes as part the Egyptian-French cultural year 2019 project that was launched by the Egyptian Minister of Culture Enas Abdel Dayem ,the French Minister of Culture and the French Ambassador in Egypt Stephane Romatet.

The Egyptian-French cultural year 2019 is going to hold a lot of surprises; a special cultural program will be set to reflect the scientific, historical, cultural and artistic cooperation between the two countries.

Egyptian Minister of Culture, Abdel Dayem, travelled to France on September 12, 2018, and attended the different shows performed by the Arabian Orchestra and other groups. The minister met with several French officials during her visit, including the mayor of Montpellier.
