CAIRO – 28 December 2018: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel-Dayem and President of the Fine Arts Sector Khaled Sorour inaugurated the 40th session of the General Exhibition at the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art on Dec. 27 at 7 p.m.

The inauguration will also be attended by the Organizing Committee as well as various artists, critics and public spectators.

A total of 293 artists over the age of 35 will be exhibiting their works, amounting to almost 320 artistic pieces that represent diverse artistic trends.

A special exhibition will be held to honor late Taha Hussein, Hamdi Jabr, Mohamed al-Qabbani, Naima al-Shishini and Mohamed Sabri, who provided arts in Egypt and the region with everlasting enriching works.

The various artistic works will be exhibited in the second and third floors of the Museum of Fine Arts while the first floor will exhibit its usual content.

It is worth noting that the exhibition was moved from its original location in The Palace of Arts due to the renovation works taking place there.
