CAIRO – 29 November 2018: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem attended on Nov. 28 the play “Metro”, produced by the Youth Theater, affiliated with the Theatrical Art House.

The Theaterical Art House is headed by artist Ismail Mokhtar. Adel Hassan, manager of the team, was also in attendance.

Abdel Dayem praised the professionalism of the cast, their intriguing performance and the sublime use of words. The minister expected a great future for the young actors, hoping that they will be a great addition to the Egyptian theater.

The play conveys a message to youth that encourages them not to focus on the negativities and to always be optimistic and pursue their goals tirelessly. The main character of the play, Yehia, meets a young girl in a metro station, and they discuss several negative aspects and beliefs found in the Egyptian society.

The play is written by Mohamed Fadl, and stars Ahmed Khaled, Sherihan Kotb, Ahmad Amar and others. "Metro" is directed by Adel Ra’fat.
