CAIRO – 27November 2018: The British government spokesman for the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) commemoratedthe international day condemning violence against womenby replying to a tweet by Lebanese singer Elissa.

“Violence against women is not heroism andis not it manly,”Elissa wrote on her official Twitter account.

“Violence against women is a crime, and if abused women donot speak up, no one will stand up for them,”continued the Lebanese star in her tweet.

“Violence against women is certainly unacceptable and no one should be quiet about it,” replied Samuel. “Greetings to you and to all the ladies around the world,” continued the British spokesman.

It is worth noting that the British government condemned violence against women in an official statement, and today is a reminder of the international initiative taken to condemn any abusive acts against women.
