CAIRO – 4 November 2018: The American movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" starring American-Egyptian actor Rami Malek topped the American Box Office, achieving about $50 million over the weekend.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" is produced by 20th Century Fox and tackles the life of Queen’s singer, Freddie Mercury.

The movie is full of heavy metal and rock music and sheds light on Mercury's extraordinary spirit. "Bohemian Rhapsody" went through the different stages of the band until they claimed the throne of rock music.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" also presented Mercury’s life and career as one of the greatest vocalists in addition to highlighting the role of other band members; Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon.

The movie crew included beside Malek ,Ben Hardy, Gwilym Lee, and Joseph Mazzello playing the roles of Roger Taylor, Brian May and John Deacon, respectively.

Bryan Singer, director of X-Men, was set to direct the movie but got fired after he disappeared suddenly from the movie’s set, and was replaced by Dexter Fletcher.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” was written by Anthony McCarten who was nominated for the 2015 Oscar for Best Writing Award for “The Theory of Everything”.

Malek is known for starring in the TV thriller "Mr. Robot" which achieved booming success.
