CAIRO – 11 October 2018: Umm Kulthum Museum in the Manasterly Palace is currently preparing to host a concert for the Queenz Quartet set to take place on Oct. 18 at 8 p.m.

The band consists of four ladies:
• Amira Ali – primary violin
• Caroline Amgad – secondary violin
• Nourhan Osama – viola
• Amany Ghouneim – cello

The ladies will perform numerous musical compositions of the golden era, such as “Zorooni Kol Sana Mara” (Visit me once a year) for late legendary musician Sayed Darwish, “Hanna al-Sakran” (Hanna, the Drunk) for Lebanese veteran singer Fayrouz, “Feha Haga Helwa” (There is something beautiful about it) for veteran Egyptian composer Omar Khairat, among other musical pieces.

The four ladies are graduates of the Cairo Conservatoire, which is the primary music conservatory in Egypt; they perform in the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. The young stars grabbed the attention of the audience for the first time during one of the youth forums held in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The ladies then proceeded to perform in numerous cultural events in El-Sawy Culture Wheel and Cairo Opera House.
