CAIRO - 1 October 2018: The Alexandria International Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries (AIFF), set to take place on Oct. 3-8, 2018, will name the festival’s specialized press center after late writer and journalist Hend Moussa.

The festival's management is also preparing a huge poster of Moussa to be displayed inside the center holding her name. Moussa passed away in an accident while she was on her way back to Cairo after covering El-Gouna Film Festival's second edition.The late writer had a short but rich career. She was a graduate of the Faculty of Mass Communication and presented numerous great articles and writings, which qualified her to be promoted to head of the arts section in El-Tahrir newspaper.

In a different context, and for the first time, the festival’s management decided to name the halls and conference rooms used during the festival after the honorees.

The halls and conference rooms will be named as follows:

• Veteran artist Nadia Lutfi’s Hall
• Actor Farouk al-Fishawy’s Hall
• Director Ahmad Yehia’s Hall
• Veteran film photographer Maher Rady’s Hall
• Veteran composer/musician Omar Khairat’s Hall
• Veteran writer and film critic Kamal al-Malakh’s Hall
• Veteran historian and critic Ahmad al-Hadary’s Hall
