CAIRO – 6 September 2018: Minister of Culture, Inas Abdel Dayem, attended on Wednesday the theatrical show, “Happened in the Land of Happiness,” presented by the Modern Theater Troupe.

The play is produced by the Modern Theatre, and stars Hassan Adel, singer Waelal-Fashny, Khadoga Sabry from Libya, Rassem Mansour from Iraq and Nesreen Abi Saad from Lebanon. Hazem Shebl set the show's decoration, MarwaOuda designed the costumes and Karim abedeir designed movement expression.

The play was written by Walid Youssef and directed by Mazenal-Gharabawi.
The Modern Theater Troupe, affiliated to Ministry of Culture’s Artistic House for Theatre, was established in 1967 and united the members of both Al-Hakim Theater and the International Theater Troupe which had been closed.

The Modern Theater usually competes with the Egyptian National Theatre, which was reopened by Minister of Culture Abdel Dayem on February 1 after being closed for more than 3 months for renovations.

On its inauguration day, the theatre will showcase “Edhak lama Temoot” (Laugh till you Die). The play stars Nabil el-Halafawy, Mahmoud el-Genedy, Salwa Osman, EmanEmam, Hamdy Hassan,and others. “Edhak lama Temoot” is written by Lenin el-Ramly and directed by Essam el-Sayed.
