CAIRO – 23 August 2018: U.S. network HBO will air the six-episode season 8 of the most renowned TV series “Game of Thrones” starting April 14.

HBO expected that 50 million viewers will follow the network in the upcoming period before releasing season eight early next year.

The series was first released in 2011, and achieved a great success since its first premier on HBO. It received several awards besides the nomination for 22 Emmy Awards in 2018.

It was adapted from George R. R. Martin's “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, starring Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, and Lena Headey. It revolves around several powerful families in the mythical continent of Westeros, who fight for the control of seven kingdoms.

Many Egyptians highly admire the series, classifying it as one of the top ten series and describing it as more than wonderful. Other Egyptians appreciate the symbolism behind the “games” portrayed, describing their messages as very clear to grasp.

Egyptians also love the directing, the way the series was shot, the intricate details of every scene. The directing of the series focuses on actors’ movements and directions and the high production that made them come up with fictional content and the show’s designs that make it realistic, according to Egyptian fans’ posts on Facebook.

On the other hand, some Egyptians think as the series progressed, it became worse, explaining that the first four seasons hold more action and serve the message better. Yet, despite the negative and positive comments and feedbacks, the series is still keeping its magic and continues to increase in popularity.
