CAIRO – 25 July 2018: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem agreed on Egypt’s participation in the 12th edition of the international Children of Peace Festival, which will be held in Morocco from July 23 to August 3.

Abdel Dayem nominated the children of the Cairo Opera House's Talents Development Centre to partake in the festival, organized by the Bouregreg Association in Salé, Morocco.

Head of the External Cultural Relations Sector at the Ministry of Culture, Heba Youssef, remarked that the minister of culture’s approval came as a response to Morocco’s invitation to the festival, which will mark the Throne Celebration in Morocco, commemorating the day of King Mohammed VI's accession to the throne.

In this year’s edition, around 700 children of different cultural backgrounds, colors and ethnicities will present spectacular paintings and will raise a standard logo calling for spreading the values of peace among the world’s peoples.

Established in the early 1990s, the Talents Development Centre presents a wide range of activities including ballet, piano, flute, oud, kanoun, guitar and opera singing, through which the Opera House aims to develop young talents.
