CAIRO – 31 May 2018: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem agreed to allow the actors of “Flashback” play to travel to India from May 29 to June 4 to participate in the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF), according to the Ministry of Culture’s statement.

Head of the External Cultural Relations Sector at the Ministry of Culture, Heba Youssef, said that Abdel Dayem’s approval to allow the play, affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund, to partake in the festival came as a part of supporting young actors to take part in the international events and the cultural exchange between Egypt and India.

Youssef added that Egypt's participation in the festival came upon an invitation from the regional office of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

Founded in 1995, Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) is an annual film festival held in Kolkata, India, and the second oldest international film festival in India.
