Al Hadra to hold Sufi-chant concerts all through Ramadan

CAIRO - 9 May 2017: Al Hadra band for Sufi chants and hymns hold several concerts in the holy month of Ramadan.

Their first performance will be held on May 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the River Hall at El-Sawy Culture Wheel.

Al Hadra will perform some new Sufi poems by well-known figures, such as Rabia al-Adawiya and Abbas al-Deeb.

The band consists of 11 chanters and 5 musicians. It was formed in 2015, and they use three instruments only: the flute, the lute and the tambourine. Al Hadra hold concerts across the nation to spread the culture of Sufi chanting.
