CAIRO – 16 April 2018: The documentary film, “The Wait”, will screen at NVIC -Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo on Sunday April 22.

"The Wait” is a documentary film that follows the lives of Syrian Christians who escaped the constant bombings and the oppression they’ve been exposed to in their homeland.
This miserable situation urged them to run away and take refuge in an Orthodox Monastery in Lebanon. Their inability to find work for themselves or education for their children obliged them to apply for visas to the west. This wait had a strong physical and emotional impact on these Syrians, undergoing a very powerful experience during the Eastern Orthodox celebrations of Easter.
