CAIRO – 23 January 2018: New Minister of Culture Ines Abdeldayem headed to Fairgrounds in Nasr City on Tuesday to follow up on the final preparations of 49th Cairo International Book Fair, according to a released statement by the Cairo Opera House.

During the inspection tour around the book fair’s different sections, retail outlets and the places of artistic shows, Abdel Dayem was accompanied by the chairman of the General Egyptian Book Organization, Haitham Al-Haj Ali.

The 49th edition of the book fair will be entitled “Soft Power…How?” Twenty-seven countries, including 17 Arab countries and 10 foreign countries, will participate in the 49th Cairo International Book Fair, which will run from January 27 to February 10.
