CAIRO - 16 January 2018: Antiquities Minister Khaled al Anani announced on Tuesday that the Ramses II statue will be transferred from its current place in the Grand Egyptian Museum to the grand gallery at main entrance of the museum on Thursday, January 25.

In a statement to MENA, Anani said that the statue will be moved 400 meters to the place where it will be displayed.

He pointed out that the Arab Contractors Company is responsible for the transfer of the statue, after finalizing all studies needed to decide on the best way for moving it.
