CAIRO – 6 January 2018: InFocus culture center will be hosting Mona Saad, Egyptian editor and translator, to lead an in-depth discussion about the tremendous painting “Mona Lisa” on Friday, January 12.

According to the event’s official statement, the invitation is open to whoever is interested in attending. Some artistic details will be discussed in the seminar. It will revolve around the painting’s essence, which glorified Leonardo Da Vinci, the man behind this significant work.

Saad is known for her analytical vision focused on contemporary art and is currently doing her masters in the “The Science of Language”.

“Mona Lisa” is a painting by the Italian painter Da Vinci, known as a revolutionary icon in the world of contemporary paintings. The painting presents a woman with a faint smile in a half-body portrait, which has as a backdrop a distant landscape.

”Mona Lisa” is also one of the most valuable paintings in the world. Numerous researches concluded that the painting is a portrait of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo, however, the identity is still not fully proven.

Da Vinci is a painter, sculptor, architect , inventor ,military engineer and draftsman. His interested in laws of nature and science hugely influenced his art work. Despite his artistic abilities portrayed in his prominent paintings “Mona Lisa” and ““Vitruvian Man” and “The Last Supper”, Da Vinci was not a prolific painter.
