Meticulously launching sustainable contemporary music concerts and discussions throughout the year, EEMS is carrying out Music Talks Series in Cairo that will be led by BrigittaMuntendorf on January 13 as part of the pre-activities taking place prior to the anticipated annual Cairo Contemporary Music Days. The sixth edition of Cairo Contemporary Music Days is expected to be launched in March 2018.

Supported by the international co-production of Goethe-Institut, Muntendorf will be discussing techniques of "transmedial" Composing – Social Media Opera in her upcoming event in Cairo, accompanied with several contemporary music pieces and her recent productions for participants to listen to and watch.

EEMS has announced details in an official statement about its upcoming edition, which will be held from April 14 - 28, 2018, mentioning that it is packed with new vibes and activities resonating from contemporary musicians and experts. Considered an international exchange platform, Cairo Contemporary Music Days 2018 will feature academic projects, master classes, music talks, and contemporary music performances. 2018’s main highlight is a German-Arab- Egyptian collaboration which will emphasize how Germany is one of the most important platforms that initiated contemporary music worldwide, starting in Berlin.

German “Ensemble Mosaik” will be displaying the process in which German contemporary music composers endure to carry out productions. The program is expected to be an ambitious tailored program to advance the contemporary music scene through culture diversities that include Arab composers. Three new world premieres will also display during the 2018 edition by participants, who were previously involved in the Heritage and Modernity Forum in 2016 in Cairo, that was supported by Allianz Culture Foundation.
