CAIRO – 9 April 2017: A video auctioning off numerous Ancient Egyptian artifacts went viral on Facebook last week, shocking Egyptians on social media, Youm7 reported Friday.

The video seems to have been recorded in a secluded apartment with a large collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts and mummies. Facebook users expressed their anger in the comments section while attempting to discover the location of the apartment.

Other users demanded an urgent collaboration between the Ministry of Antiquities and the Ministry of Interior in order to find the identity of the person who posted the video, according to Youm7.

The Egyptian Government has not yet issued a statement regarding the video.
