CAIRO – 13 December 2017: English TV film "A Christmas Carol" will screen at the Arts and Multimedia Library, Bibliotheca Alexandrina on December 14.

Based on "A Christmas Carol" novella by Charles Dickens, the plot revolves around a cold-hearted man who is visited by many ghosts that come to him to change his life during Christmas. The film was aired for the first time in 1977.

Directed by Moria Armstrong, "A Christmas Carol" stars Micheal Hordern, John Le Mesurier, and Bernard Lee.

Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol" is one of the common Christmas ghost stories. It was published in 1843. Dickens was inspired by exploring and examining Christmas traditions' origins in the British society.
