CAIRO – 7 December 2017: Fashion photographer Bassam Allam will host a talk in Photopia on Thursday, December 14, titled "Shoot What You Love, Love What You Shoot."

Currently operating from Munich, Germany, Allam is a 29 year old creative concept photographer who has worked for magazines such as Vogue Arabia. His unique style features a focus on the surreal and cinematic shots to create striking, memorable imagery. Self-taught, Allam began his photograph journey while living in Cairo, and in 2011 moved to Germany in order to earn his Masters in Sustainable Architecture at the Technical University in Munich.

Having collaborated with some of Egypt’s top designers, Allam is also renowned in the international scene and has contributed for Daily News Egypt, the US’s Dark Beauty Magazine, Germany’s Super Paper and many others.

Marking a return to Photopia after three years, this interactive talk will go over various points, such as a Q&A session, finding inspiration and gathering knowledge, an introduction that discusses fashion and choosing your genre, questions aimed at asking how and why you are shooting and much more.
