CAIRO - 6 December 2017: Egypt marked on Wednesday the 70th anniversary of the establishment a UNESCO regional bureau in Cairo.

The celebration was held at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization under the auspices of Prime Minister Sherif Ismail.

The UNESCO regional bureau in Cairo is mainly meant to develop the scientific research in member states.

Egypt was amongst the first Arab States to ratify UNESCO’s constitution and proposed the establishment of a Permanent UNESCO Center in Cairo
