The film follows a delinquent young boy, Maloney (Rod Paradot) in France and the efforts of the state and his adoptive family to help him grow out of his angry ways.
Florence Blaque, a juveline judge and Yann, a special educator who survived a difficult childhood himself are certain they can save this boy. Indeed, things being to take a turn for the better when Maloney is sent to a juvenile detention center, where he meets a kind young girl who teaches him to read and write, and most importantly, proves there’s hope yet for anyone.
‘Standing Tall’ was the opening night film for the Cannes Film Festival on May 13, 2015.
