Sohag governorate hosts first festival for short novels

Cairo – 22 November 2017: The first festival for short novels will start on Sunday in the theater of Sohag Culture Palace, according to a press release of the General Organization for Culture Palaces.

Entitled under the name of author Mohamed Abdel Motaleb, the festival will take place under the supervision of Ashraf Amer, president of the General Organization for Culture Palaces.

The first activity of the event will be a ceremony for the writers of short novels, two research sessions about criticizing the stories of novelist Mohamed Abdel Motaleb and examining the status of short stories in Sohag over the past two years.

The festival will also include a discussion about the future of short stories in literature and a critical study on the samples presented from creative pieces by short story writers.
