CAIRO – 13 November 2017: Societal theatrical performance “Me Too” to stage at Art of Seeing Center at Heliopolis on Friday as part of the global campaign to fight sexual harassment.

Performed by Macarona Playback Theater Troupe, the play revolves around the real life stories of sexual harassment that has grown to be a global issue. The troupe seeks to spreading awareness on the topic to a wider mass of audiences objectively, rather than only focusing on finding resolutions.

Macarona Playback Theater Troupe is comprised of theater amateurs and professional performers of Improvisation Theater, according to the event’s official page.

Coming from different backgrounds, careers, and academics, the troupe of eight people have gathered under one aim to present certain societal issues in efforts to diminish barriers between different factions of society and create a safe space for freedom of expression.

This theater production is a collaborative work between musicians and actors who all aim to work in providing space for expression that will help overcome societal and psychological problems.

The troupe performs many of their productions on a monthly basis across the country to help people accept each others’ differences and create a society free of judgment, discrimination, and classism.
