CAIRO – 7 November 2017: The 1992 American period drama film “Of Mice and Men” will screen at Arts and Multimedia Library on Thursday, November 16.

An adaptation of the classic 1937 novella by John Steinbeck, the film is directed by and stars Gary Sisek alongside John Malkovich as George and Lennie, two drifting men who aim to seek out a better life during the Depression Era in California.

Lennie is a large, simple-minded man with a gentle nature, who unfortunately does not realize his own strength and leads to tragedy for the both of them.

The acclaimed novel has been adapted into three feature films and a Broadway play, and has become a permanent feature of America’s popular culture, especially for its heartbreaking story and themes of following your dreams in a world that just does not forgive.

"Of Mice and Men" was nominated for the Palme d'Or award at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival.
